This post isn’t about plants–well, kind of. Today I decided to share some home pegs that I’ve been looking at the past few weeks (okay, months!). My pegs are forever changing because I have so much appreciation for different styles, but there are a few details that are consistently present in the  home pegs that I like. Read more to get inspired!

For Valentine’s Day I told Anton I didn’t want a bouquet. Instead, I requested for a plant. I wanted something for my room, something that lived longer, and something I could take care of. He put together my first real plant, Hal.

We've become a very impatient generation. With life, love, career, success--everything. We carry this load everyday of wanting to be something or someone, seeing only what we aren't and not actually looking at the road we're on, the moments of the journey that matter. It's frustrating, and i've felt that over and over the past few months, wanting to get out and do things again. But as time passes, i'm seeing the beauty of this virtue and how much happiness there is in just being and taking things one step at a time. It's slow, but slow is good. It makes you more mindful and plants your feet on the ground. It helps you accept things as they are and throw away the pressures and expectations from everyone and more importantly, those you have of yourself. It lets you focus on the small, everyday efforts you do and makes you focus on the good. And before you know it, you see small progress towards your goals and you can't help but sit back, smile and be grateful.
